TEARSLife is one big teardrop,Rolling down a frozen cheek,Sliding off a plastic face,To fall at no ones feet.Crystal pools of liquid life,Disappear, as they fall. Can the result of so much torment,Have no effect at all? Will the tears of endless sufferingBring life to a desolate plain? If so, there is no shortage,For the tears fall like rain.
HelplessI think I am a cutter, Not physically, I mean;My self-destructive tendenciesLeave scars that can't be seen. When everything is okay And things are going well,It's a sure fire bet I'll ruin itAnd all will turn to hell.I fear that I an losing it;The Black Dog's grip is strong;I really can't go on like this,I know it won't be long. The jaws of gloom grow tighterAnd even though I try,The only way out that I seeIs actually to die
WonderlandWhat of pain? And what of love? What of push? And what of shove?Check that watch you're running late! The Queen of hearts will not wait!A fairy tale is but grimIt's life that's really dark and dim.Life's a hole that leads nowhereA Cheshire Cat that's full of air!Escapism needs mind-bending,A feast of mushrooms that's unending.Your head of voices starts to natterYour secret soul a dark Mad Hatter. But what of Love?Is it just all malice?Yeah; Stuff the Rabbit! And Screw you, Alice!!!
Why?WHY?Running ragged, on the edge,One more step, it's off the ledge,Fall to earth with resounding thud,And stain the ground with thine own blood!Leave behind those who careBecause you feel they are not there,Plagued by doubt you run for coverAnd death awaits you like a lover. The magnet of the swollen tideCan no longer be denied,You embrace the drop with no goodbye; And your only dying thought is Why?© Philip Maddison
